Three Little Pigs

The garbage truck came at 9:00 instead of 10:00 today leaving our garbage bag still inside the front door.  The big German Shepherd showed up at 9:15, looking to raid our bag before pick up.

I need a life.

  1. Sounds like you have a life. Maybe you just meant to say that you want MORE out of your life than trying to get your garbage out in time for pickup by the garbage man but not the dog. I don't know--sounds like you have a life that is full of challenge and drama, at least. I rather envy you, I guess. My garbage also went out today, smoothly as always. What's the fun in that?

  2. Challenge and drama...guess I never thought of it that way.

Smoothly functioning would be a real treat but maybe it could get boring. Like living in Hawaii, waking up and looking out the window every day and saying "Oh, Damn, another nice day".

  3. Whatever happened to garbage cans and carts? They don't use them there?

As for Chile I think they'll do okay. They have resources unlike Haiti.

  4. D: I have looked for garbage cans but not seen any. Yet.
With everyone focused on Haiti, we should not forget there are others. I understand Taiwan got hit too. Is there no end? Is it earthquake season?

  5. Pat Robertson, a famous preacher here, said that Haiti was hit because it had sinned. He hasn't explained why all those other places were hit--or why he wasn't.

  6. Another of his ilk said that if God didn't slide the west coast of California into the Pacific, He owed Sodom and Gamora an apology.
The problem is that the great unwashed insist on confusing these people with Christians.
